My
first Real Salt experience was rather
unexpected.
I
was having a nice dinner with my husband at a nice
chain restaurant and, well, I was really hungry.
The waitress brought the salad, but I was watching
my calories and requested a different dressing than
the one she brought my husband. It took quite some
time for her to come back with the dressing, so I
decided to "rough it" with just the table salt.
Lucky for me, they had Cefalu
Italian Sea Salt in
a grinder on the table. It was a simple lettuce
salad with a ring of purple onion - but, WPW. was
it GOOD! It was so good, that when the waitress
brought my requested vinaigrette, I skipped it in
favor of plain salt.
In
my entire life, I'd never had a salad with just
salt. But this salt was just so GOOD, well, that's
when I discovered that salt and SALT were two
different things.
And
I've been trying to spread the word ever
since.
